Since Highland’s inception in 2007, David has grown the Highland Group from a small team of six, to a team of over 220 people working across residential and rural property sales; commercial sales, leasing and site acquisition; property management and investment; financial services; marine services; marketing, and operations. With a real focus on building a reputable, market-leading brand, David has made strategic moves over the past 5 years expanding into new and exciting markets by opening offices in the lucrative Eastern Suburbs with real estate powerhouses Bill and David Malouf with Highland Double Bay, before branching even further to the Inner West, Southern Highlands, Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, which has equated to a thriving independent network of 8 offices across the East Coast of Australia with over $2B in sales annually.

By setting a new standard in excellence and maintaining that standard in each expansion move, David has also channelled his passion for setting standards to the marine sector with the birth of Calico Marina in 2023. Falling under the Highland umbrella, Calico Marina is the hidden jewel on the Cronulla boating landscape, providing world-class marina facilities as well as being home to Pippis by The Grounds, the pre-eminent culinary spot in the Sutherland Shire. The addition of Highland Marine in 2024, redefining the ease of listing and selling your vessel, has seen the marine sector of the Highland Group flourish into an industry leading under the guidance of David.
